Every Tuesday – Church Hall
Juniors (P7 – 3rd year) 6.30pm-8pm
Seniors (4th year – Adult) 8pm-10pm
The Badminton Club provides an opportunity for all ages to get some exercise, play a new sport if they haven’t participated before and to get to know others in a relaxed environment.
The club has up to 40 members – half are juniors (age 10 to 14) and the other half seniors (age 14+). Everyone is welcome to join and around 10 members are not members of Moira Presbyterian.
Some members have joined other organisations in the church, through going to the Badminton Club. It provides a bridge into church life.
People from the local community have come through word of mouth and it is open for people to have informal chats about their lives and their faith.
Every Wednesday 8pm – Church Hall
The Bowling Club provides an opportunity for those interested in indoor bowling to play bowls and socialise. It has been run at the church hall for over 40 years – since 1973.
The club has around 25 members from Moira Presbyterian, other churches and others with no church connection.
The Club plays twice a week, usually at home on Wednesday evenings and then away one evening. It is affiliated to the Armagh Zone and plays in the 2nd Division. The season runs from September to mid April.
The Club has a relaxed attitude to the game and new members will always be warmly welcomed.
Saturdays Monthly 9am – Meet at Church Car Park
As part of the Men’s Fellowship, a number of cyclists meet on the first Saturday of each month at the Church car park at 9am to cycle different routes, planned to suit varying abilities, so everyone enjoys the cycle at their own pace and distance.
Some cyclists attend other churches, or no church, so everyone is very welcome to join. Come and give it a go!
